Calculus for Business, Economics, Life Sciences, and Social Sciences, Brief Version helps you “get the idea” in your calculus course. It offers more built-in guidance than any other text available, with special emphasis on applications and prerequisite skills. If necessary, a host of features help you catch up or learn on your own; and its flexible structure makes it ideal for many different student needs. In order to emphasize problem solving, concepts, and computational skills, most derivations and proofs are omitted, except where their inclusion adds significant insight into a particular concept. The 14th Edition is enhanced by a design refresh, updated data and applications, and more. It includes Chapters 1-7 and is generally used for a 1-semester course. An expanded version of this text is available that contains Chapters 1-11 and is designed for a 2-term course in Applied Calculus.
