* Revised Scope and Sequence creates a better balance between semesters and across the 2-year ¡Anda! program. (The preterite is now introduced in Chapter 5, which means instructors can now introduce students to the past tense in the first semester of the course.)

* A wealth of online tools provide students with options for out-of-class communicative practice include LiveChat, a pair/group video recording tool, MediaShare, a video sharing site, and WeSpeke, the virtual chat tool with native speakers.

* LiveChat offers synchronous audio and video recording capability, so instructors can easily facilitate oral practice outside the classroom. Integrated video-capture functionality allows learners and instructors to record video directly from a webcam, smartphone or tablet using the MediaShare app and easily upload their assignment.

* In collaboration with WeSpeke, chapter-specific activities enable students to practice new language "live" with native speakers of their choosing from around the world. Learners select native speaking partners from any country they choose and complete activities that put newly acquired language to use in the "real" world, which increases curiosity, cross- cultural communication, engagement, and motivation.

* A vocabulary digital zoom tool in ¡Anda! online allows students to zoom in and hear vocabulary words as they learn outside of class helping them to quickly assimilate meanings and pronunciation.
