eTextbooks in Pearson+ at your US campus store
Campus store support resources for eTextbooks, available in Pearson+
What’s Pearson+?
Pearson+ is a one-stop shop for eTextbooks and study videos designed to help students get better grades in college.
Pearson+ eTextbook access codes are available on demand through campus stores via fulfillment partners, including RedShelf and VitalSource. When a student purchases an access code through a campus store, an API call is used to generate an access code for each student purchase.
Access codes cannot be purchased in bulk or through OASIS. Once an access code has been purchased, students will receive the fulfillment partner PIN or access code on the receipt or via email with instructions for how to redeem the code on redeem.pearsonplus.com.
An access code purchase provides the student access to one eTextbook and is $50.94 for 180 days (6 months).
Once an access code has been purchased, students will receive the fulfillment partner PIN or access code on the receipt or via email with instructions for how to redeem the code on redeem.pearsonplus.com
Inclusive Access is available for campuses using Access Pearson Codeless LMS integration (LTI 1.3) for Barnes & Noble, Follett-Willo, RedShelf, or VitalSource.
If Inclusive Access is initiated, students will access their eTextbook in Pearson+ from their institution’s Learning Management System and will not be required to enter an access code.
No, an eTextbook subscription does not include access to MyLab, Mastering, or Revel courseware. You’ll continue to purchase access to courseware as you currently do.
However, if students are using MyLab or Mastering with an integrated eTextbook, they will get access to the eTextbook via Pearson+ without paying another fee or completing additional tasks.
Students have 14 days from the purchase date to exchange the eTextbook or return the code to the campus store. If the code is returned within the 14-day window, the student will get a full refund. Returns for access codes purchased in a campus store must be handled by the campus store.
Students can use financial aid or a credit card to purchase an access code at the campus store. If a student uses financial aid and wants to extend the subscription when the initial term ends, they will need to use a credit card on pearsonplus.com.
The process follows the same registration path you currently use. Students will receive the fulfillment partner PIN or access code on the receipt or via email, follow those instructions and go to redeem.pearsonplus.com to redeem the code.
Pearson+ eTextbooks are available for 180 days (6 months). Access begins on the day the access code is redeemed on redeem.pearsonplus.com. Note: The redemption date may not be the same as the purchase date.
A student can have more than one eTextbook subscription. A separate access code is required for each eTextbook. Once an access code has been purchased, students will receive the fulfillment partner PIN or access code on the receipt or via email with instructions for how to redeem the code on redeem.pearsonplus.com.
To switch from a personal payment method to financial aid, a student will need to:
- Visit the Pearson+ My account page within the first 14 days of their subscription and select Cancel and refund next to the eTextbook they purchased.
- Purchase a new access code from the campus store using financial aid.
- Redeem the new access code on redeem.pearsonplus.com.
Pearson+ eTextbooks are available for 180 days (6 months).
If the student’s course is ending and they no longer need the eTextbook, they can simply let the subscription end.
If they need more time with the eTextbook, students have 2 options:
- They can purchase a new access code through their local campus store to start a new eTextbook subscription.
- They can extend their subscription before the initial term ends using a credit card on pearsonplus.com.
If students need additional support, they can use the chat icon on www.pearsonplus.com. Students can also find answers to common questions in the Pearson+ Help center.
