Yvonne Baptiste, Professor, SUNY Niagara
Dr. Yvonne Baptiste is a Professor at SUNY Niagara and a recipient of the prestigious State University of New York Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. With over 25 years of experience in the classroom, she is deeply committed to supporting and advocating for community college students.
Beyond teaching, Yvonne is an active collaborator on projects that develop innovative multimedia curricular resources for Anatomy and Physiology (A&P) education. Her research explores the intersection of digital media, learning, and the cultural dimensions of science education.
Before transitioning to academia, Yvonne was employed in medical communications. She also has professional experience in both research and clinical laboratory bench environments. She holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences, an M.S. in Interdisciplinary Natural Sciences, and a Ph.D. in Curriculum, Instruction, and the Science of Learning, with a focus on Science Education.
