Rachel Hopman-Droste, PhD, Learning Science Researcher, Pearson
Rachel Hopman-Droste is a learning science researcher on the Efficacy and Learning team at Pearson. Rachel uses insights from cognitive and behavioral sciences to improve the efficacy of learning experiences and outcomes. Rachel holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience and translates research findings related to mental processes into real world insights. Rachel uses these skills to promote quality learning design grounded in empirical evidence.

Terry Austin is the Faculty Advisor for General Biology, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, and Genetics. Professor Austin is from Texas and has been a professor at Temple College for almost 23 years. He served as the department chair for the biology department for over a decade of that time. Terry is obsessed with anything technological and loves implementing educational technology in his science classes. When Terry has free time, he's generally using his science skills to create some magic in the kitchen! When in need of a bit of stress relieve you might just see him out on the roads of the Texas Hill Country on his Classic Harley."

Mia Gutierrez is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing at California State University, Fullerton. She is expected to graduate in May 2024. Mia enjoys volunteering at Freedomhouse Church – Fullerton and loves her role as a Pearson Campus Ambassador. She also has the role of Co-Director of Sales Rep Relations and gets to work on various unique projects across Pearson. In her free time, Mia loves to lift weights, run, eat delicious food, and spend time with family and friends.
