Dr. Peter Foltz, Research Professor at the University of Colorado’s Institute of Cognitive Science and Executive Director of the National Science Foundation AI Institute for Student-AI Teaming
Dr. Peter Foltz is Research Professor at the University of Colorado’s Institute of Cognitive Science and Executive Director of the National Science Foundation AI Institute for Student-AI Teaming. His work covers machine learning and natural language processing for educational and clinical assessments, large-scale data analytics, cognitive skills in reading and writing, team collaboration, and 21st Century skills learning, Much of his work has focused on NLP techniques for automatically analyzing the meaning of language through writing and speaking. The approaches are used for assessing abilities, for providing feedback, and for understanding underlying cognitive mechanisms in the brain. The methods he has pioneered are used by millions of people annually to improve achievement, expand student access, and make learning materials more affordable.

Anna Mills, Writing Teacher at City College of San Francisco and Open Textbook Author
Anna Mills teaches writing at College of Marin and previously taught at City College of San Francisco for 17 years. Her collection “AI Text Generators and Teaching Writing: Starting Points for Inquiry” is featured in the Writing Across the Curriculum Clearinghouse; it includes a curated collection of articles, a set of sample AI essays, and a list of strategies for mitigating educational harms associated with large language models. She has also written an Open Educational Resource (OER) textbook, How Arguments Work: A Guide to Writing and Analyzing Texts in College, which has been used at over 45 colleges. Anna's essays have appeared in journals such as Inside Higher Ed, The Writer's Chronicle, and The Sun.

Dr. Darcy Hardy, Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Director, Anthology Education and Research Center
Dr. Darcy Hardy serves as Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Director of the Anthology Education and Research Center at Anthology Inc. (formerly Blackboard Inc.). Her work focuses on the online learning ecosystem, and how it impacts all parts of an institution or organization. Areas of expertise include strategy & vision; organization & governance; policy, process & practice; quality oversight; and course and faculty development processes.
Prior to her position with Blackboard, Dr. Hardy spent over 25 years in public higher education, including The University of Texas System, The University of Texas at Austin, The University of Texas at San Antonio, and Texas State University-San Marcos. During her tenure with UTSA, she worked with the Obama Administration, completing a two-year Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) appointment at the US Department of Labor, and a one-year IPA appointment at the US Department of Education.

Randy Boyle, PhD, Author, Faculty, Weber State University
Randall J. Boyle is a professor at Weber State University in the Goddard School of Business & Economics. He received his PhD in management information systems from Florida State University in 2003. He also has a master's degree in public administration and a BS in finance. His research areas include deception detection in computer-mediated environments, secure information systems, the effects of IT on cognitive biases, the effects of IT on knowledge workers and e-commerce.
Boyle has published in several academic journals such as Decision Support Systems, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of Computer Information Systems, and Journal of International Technology and Information Management. He has authored several books including Using MIS, Experiencing MIS, Corporate Computer and Network Security, Applied Information Security, and Applied Networking Labs.
Boyle has received university teaching awards at Weber State University, Longwood University, University of Utah, and University of Alabama in Huntsville. He has taught a wide variety of classes, including Cyber Security, Advanced Cyber Security, Telecommunications, Networking & Servers, System Analysis and Design, Decision Support Systems, Web Servers and Introduction to MIS.

Erran Carmel, Professor at American University's Kogod School of Business
Erran Carmel is a Professor at American University's Kogod School of Business. He currently teaches Information Technology (I.T.) He received his Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona, his MBA from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), and his B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley.
He has written over 100 articles, reports, and manuscripts. During the early decades of the rise of the global internet, Carmel studied the globalization of technology work and wrote three books in this domain. "Global Software Teams," "Offshoring Information Technology," and "I'm Working While They're Sleeping: Time Zone Separation Challenges and Solutions."
Carmel consults and speaks to industry and professional groups. He is currently working on several research areas: Digital Health Passports; cybersecurity industry clusters; quantum industry clusters; the future of work.
In the 1990s, he co-founded and led A.U.'s Management of Global Information Technology program. He has been a Visiting Professor at Haifa University (Israel), University College Dublin (Ireland), Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (Chile), Beijing Normal University (China), and Ca' Foscari University of Venice (Italy).
