With any design, it is imperative to the health of the course and the academic integrity of the instructor to evaluate the effectiveness of the tools and design for the purposes of intervening to increase the effectiveness or update the tools.
Pearson’s tools provide a myriad of analytics that will measure student success and indicate where the course may in the future create even greater student persistence and achievement. Surveying students is one way of determining a course designs effectiveness, but not always a statistically reliable way of knowing. Pearson’s analytics give instructors quantitative data that is easy to interpret and then implement and identify needs for change in future class designs.
