In this session, we discuss how visualizing key concepts in calculus is a common challenge for students, and static figures can be limiting for instructors when teaching students these dynamic ideas. We showcase a suite of mobile-friendly Interactive Figures, and explore ways they can be used as teaching tools in the classroom and for independent study at home.

Professor Marc Renault, Shippensburg University
Marc Renault is a mathematics professor at Shippensburg University in south-central Pennsylvania, where he has taught since 2002. Marc has played with GeoGebra to create visualizations of mathematical ideas since 2007. He has twice presented his work at the North American GeoGebra Conference, once as an invited speaker. Since 2016, Marc has worked with Pearson to create Interactive Figures and videos to accompany their single-variable and multivariable calculus material.
