About the speakers

Michael Arnett, EdD

Dr. Michael Arnett is director of career and technical education at The School District of Indian River County in Vero Beach, Florida. He joined the school district in 2015 and handles all aspects of Indian River Virtual School, which serves 40 full-time and more than 200 part-time students in grades K–12 who live in Indian River County.

Deron Williams

In 2018, after a decade of serving as an elementary school principal, Deron Williams was appointed to lead Polk Virtual School, a part of Polk County Public Schools in Bartow, Florida. Since the school’s launch 12 years ago, 230 students in grades K–12 who live across the district attend classes online full-time.
