About the speaker
Cerrone Foster
Dr. Cerrone Foster is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at East Tennessee State University. Dr. Foster teaches Introductory Biology for first year students with a special interest in using social/cultural reflection as a lens for students to learn biology and increase student success. Her teaching interests include course redesign, assessment, mentoring, and online learning platforms. Dr. Foster's biomedical research examines molecular signaling pathways and structural remodeling of the heart during failure and the role of estrogen deficiency and aging in cardiovascular disease.
