If you have ever stepped into an elementary classroom or watched an Elmo movie as a kid, you know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. When you wake up early you are able to not only kickstart your day but also your metabolism! I used to skip breakfast without thinking twice due to being busy but now I look forward to trying new breakfast recipes and enjoying my sit-down morning meal. It has changed my health for the better. I recommend trying out some avocado toast, smoothie bowl, or egg inside an avocado recipe. Knowing you are going to try cooking something new in the morning is also motivation to get up and moving.
Sounds of silence
Quiet time is one of the main reasons I enjoy waking up early. I utilize this time of silence to read my daily devotional, journal, answer emails, and just organize my thoughts and plans for the day. If you feel like you always start the day scattered brained, this is the solution.
Sweet dreams
A big motivator for most is being able to go to bed earlier because of how productive their day was, leaving more time to come home, relax, and get a good night’s rest. This also relieves stress, reduces daily anxiety, and keeps your body on a healthy sleep schedule.
I challenge you to wake up early tomorrow and attempt to make “waking up on the right side of the bed” a part of your daily routine. Remember, it only takes twenty-one days to form a habit. I promise you will not regret it!
