Supporting teachers through the challenge of effective transition from primary to secondary education
This 90-minute webinar is designed to consider the key challenges facing pupils as they move from Primary to Secondary education with a focus upon practical and pedagogical considerations for the receiving teachers in Secondary schools. This year in particular, learners and their receiving teachers will face unprecedented considerations. Underpinned by research findings, this webinar seeks to offer insights into some of those key challenges by exploring transition from the perspectives of both pupils and teachers.

NUCO Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health
This webinar will provide you with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, how to start a supportive conversation and when and how to signpost a person to seek appropriate professional help. That person could be a pupil or a colleague. Subject to successful assessment you'll receive a Level 1 Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health.

A series of three, 1.5-hour live webinars. Each webinar is £40 and you can choose to attend one, two or all three sessions.
Session 1: Who, What, When, Why?
This session will help teachers measure the right things in the right way so that they can plan effective and valuable assessments.
Considering how assessment, assessment data, and insights all relate to the curriculum goals, it will focus on how to gather useful information; what the pitfalls of assessment and gathering data are, and how you can make it come alive to positively inform your classroom practice.

Future Ready Project Learning
Are you involved in delivering the Project Qualification and in need of some support? Maybe you want to understand how a project learning approach can prepare your learners for future success by incorporating future skills into your secondary curriculum. If the answer is yes to any of these, then this course will be of interest to you.
This 12-week course will take you through the project process and build your confidence in project learning as you start to develop your own small-scale research project. We’ll give you the tools needed to enrich your students’ learning experiences through project work and develop their transferable skills for progression to higher education or the workplace. This course includes a mix of live and on-demand content.
Live sessions start from 1 October 2021.
Effective Communication by Debate Mate
This 90-minute masterclass will equip teachers with the theoretical understanding and practical tools needed to build communication skills and confidence in the classroom. Through a combination of interactive activities, idea sharing and planning and consultation time, this session will provide a strong foundation for teachers who wish to enhance teaching and learning through effective communication.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for Educators
This course is designed to help educators to engage a range of anti-bias, multicultural and social justice issues and provide them with strategies and tools to help their learners understand, appreciate, include, and advocate for those around them.
Teachers will leave this session with tools and actionable steps to implement DE&I practices in the classroom and make them sustainable.

Mindfulness
The 4-week self-study course gives teachers the skills and techniques to better manage their own stress and anxiety and improve resilience, thus helping improve their overall mental health and wellbeing. There can be many causes of stress for those who work in education – a challenging student, anxiety and depression, personal worries, and more. That’s why it's important for teachers to support their own mental health and wellbeing in order to support their students. This course will give teachers the basics of mindfulness in an online, easy-to-access, and affordable way.
