As a qualified Psychologist you are probably familiar with the Wechsler range of cognitive ability tests such as WISC and WAIS and might even be using them on a daily basis. If not, here’s a brief description of the assessments:

Cognitive Ability Tests

WAIS-IVUK – Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale 4th UK edition is used for testing those aged between 16 and 90 years, 11 months. Benefits of this test include reduced testing time more consistent instructions, improved measures of Working Memory, Processing Speed and Fluid Reasoning.

Achievement tests

This comprehensive assessment will help you evaluate key reading, maths, written language, and oral language skills, plus accurately measure academic progress (as well as identify learning disabilities) and minimise practice effects. KTEA-3 also covers a wide range of achievement and language domains and is available in a new digital format via Q-interactive as well as in traditional paper-and-pencil format.

Memory tests

These tests were developed in response to emerging trends to understand memory difficulties and will provide you with the most advanced measure of memory and its impairment. Let’s take a look at a few of them:
