As teachers, parents and carers, you'll know that children's reading can 'dip' during the long summer holidays. This is especially evident in children moving from Year 2 to Year 3, and from Year 6 to Year 7, so we’re encouraging all children to take part in the Summer Reading Challenge.

This means that each child has a unique set of strengths, as well as the potential for small gaps in their knowledge and skills, and areas about which they feel less confident.
