Pearson Pledge: Reducing Workload
What are we doing?
Consistency of marking across your full cohort, plus analysis to track progression
We know how important it is for your students to be able to sit mock exam papers in preparation for their summer exams. We're also aware that mock exams can be a real burden on teachers’ time. That's why, following the success of our pilot with The Dean Trust, we're launching our new Mocks Service.
We'll provide schools and colleges with Pearson Edexcel GCSE and A level onscreen or paper-based assessments for use in mock exams. The papers can be marked by Pearson examiners or by school teaching staff.
There are three levels of service, you can find out about the levels in our infographic.
New marking pilot helps new examiners save time
We need teachers to mark examination papers and teachers can gain invaluable experience and insight from doing so, but the additional workload on an already over stretched profession can put teachers off.
Read how our marking pilot took a step towards removing the additional workload.
Reliable, customisable assessments
We've created 1000s of reliable progress assessments for all EBacc subjects 11-16 with marking guidance and tools to help your school formulate 9-1 grade predictions and identify intervention requirements.
New Asssessment Builder allows you to create your own assessments from our bank of questions with accompanying guidance to help create assessments in line with best practice.
