Think Science. Think Differently:
Calling for reform of GCSE Science
We've been carrying out extensive research and working with hundreds of teachers, learners, parents and stakeholders across the country to develop a clear view of the challenges facing GCSE science education and what is needed to address these.
From all of these conversations and insights, and alongside our Curriculum and Assessment review thinking, it's evident that GCSE Science must evolve to foster a sense of scientific identity, creativity and curiosity. By prioritising relevant, interesting and useful content, skills and experiences, it can become a powerful pathway to inspire learners and develop the skills needed for a STEM-focused future and life as scientifically literate citizens.
