Congratulations to the 200,000 BTEC students receiving their Level 3 results today
Today, just over 200,000 Level 3 BTEC results will be issued to students in the UK. These young people can now progress into apprenticeships, higher or further education, or full-time employment, often in key industries that suffer from a shortage of skilled workers.
Many employers joined us in congratulating these students today (see below).
This year, in schools and colleges in the UK, around:
- 36,000 students will have completed a Level 3 BTEC in Business and Management
- 34,000 in Sport
- 29,500 in Applied Science
- 22,500 in Health and Social Care
- 19,500 in IT and Computing
- 13,500 in Engineering
- 3,000 in Construction
Pearson’s BTECs are future-focused and globally recognised qualifications. They are built in partnership with employers, industry experts and Higher Education Institutions, ensuring they deliver the right skills and knowledge to those that take them. One in five UK working age adults has at least one BTEC, and more than 6 million BTEC qualifications have been awarded in the last decade.
Every person eligible for a result has received theirs today - this is where Pearson has all the information needed to award an overall qualification grade.
Freya Thomas Monk, Managing Director, Vocational Qualifications & Training at Pearson, said:
“My warmest congratulations to all Level 3 BTEC students who received their results today. The future is bright whatever your next step, whether into employment, an apprenticeship or higher education. You take with you relevant knowledge, skills and a qualification that is recognised around the world.
Pearson's partnership with thousands of colleges and schools is essential to our ability to award grades. Thank you to all those we work with every year – we are grateful for your support, feedback and unwavering commitment to your students.”
