Author bios

IAN ANDERSON received his Master of Business Administration in Innovation Leadership from the University of Fredericton. Ian holds the Certified Changed Management Professional (ProSci), Registered Professional Trainer, Registered Professional Recruiter, and Certified Association Executive (C.A.E.) designations. Before commencing his college teaching career, he was the director of human resources for a large Ottawa based IT company. Ian is also a human resources and management consultant with AMCES (Association Management, Consulting & Educational Services) and has been actively consulting for more than 25 years. At Algonquin College, Ian is a professor in human resources, management, and leadership, and he coaches and mentors students in various competitions.

In his spare time, Ian enjoys coaching Special Olympics and volunteering with his dearest charity, the Capital City Condors. He has coached competitive and recreational hockey and soccer for more than 20 years. As a sommelier, he provides tutored tastings and wine and scotch education. Ian's parents, Bob and Katharine, are from the Niagara area.
