Dr. Hari Das. Dr. Das received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia. He was a full professor in the Department of Management teaching graduate and doctoral level courses inhuman resource management, research methodology, performance management, international management, and organizational change. Dr. Das served as the director of the MBA program and chair of the Department of Management in Saint Mary’s University and received a teaching excellence award for his work in the EMBA program.
Dr. Das wrote over 100 articles and papers in areas such as organizational control, performance appraisal, power and influence, managerial pay, training, and research methodology. He wrote Organizational Theory with Canadian Applications, the first Canadian text in organizational theory, and contributed chapters to Retail Environments in Developing Countries and Canadian Human Resource Management. His co-authored work, Canadian Human Resource Management: A Strategic Approach was a market leader in the field. His other work, Strategic Organization Design: For Canadian Firms in a Global Economy, examined the challenge of preparing Canadian firms to face the global economy. His work, Performance Management, was the very first university text on the subject.
