StatCrunch® is a powerful web-based statistical software that allows users to perform complex analyses, share data sets, and generate compelling reports of current data. The vibrant online community offers tens of thousands of shared data sets for students to analyze, in addition to all of the data sets in their text or online homework.
StatCrunch is integrated directly into MyLab™ Statistics, or it can be purchased separately. It is available with a variety of statistics texts through Pearson.

Meet the developer
Shortly after completing his PhD in Statistics at Rice University in 1994, Webster West began developing Internet resources for statistical education. In the mid 1990s, Dr. West started to construct interactive web-based java applets that help students understand difficult statistical concepts. To date, he has developed more than 50 such applets—many of which now accompany introductory statistics textbooks. In 1997, he began to develop a complete online data analysis package called StatCrunch, which has blossomed into one of the most-used statistical resources on the web.
In 2005, he received the CAUSEweb Resource of the Year Award and the Merlot Classics Award for the StatCrunch project. In 2015, he received the William D. Warde Mu Sigma Rho Statistics Education Award. He has served as a professor in the Departments of Statistics at the University of South Carolina, Texas A&M University, and North Carolina State University. Outside of software development, Dr. West has numerous research interests, most of which (not surprisingly) involve a fair amount of statistical computing.
