Pearson Author Event:

Weaving Indigenous Worldviews, Philosophies, and Principles into the Learning Experience

Pearson Canada is committed to implementing the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s Calls to Action, specifically Call to Action #92, throughout our work supporting the education of Post-Secondary students in Canada. To familiarize all of Pearson Canada's authors and subject matter experts with our "Nothing About Us Without Us" content development strategy, created to ensure our further allyship with the First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities across this great country, we invite you to join us in an opportunity to learn and grow, both personally and professionally.

On January 26th at 12:00pm1:30pm Eastern Standard Time, we will be hosting a virtual webinar where you will hear from Indigenous subject matter experts and educators in a conversation facilitated by Audrey Rochette, Director of Indigenous Initiatives at George Brown College https://www.georgebrown.ca/bio/audrey-rochette. We will be talking about the importance of Indigenous representation in our content and in the classroom.
