For the equation y = 2(-1) - 1 = -3, ordered pair (-2, -3). However, I somehow ended up with the ordered pair (-1, -3). Could you please explain how the ordered pair (-2, -3) was obtained? Thank you!

What about canceling the root? I completely understand how you got the result of positive 5, but would it also be possible to cancel out the square root?
