Hey there! If you are comparing a short saturated fatty acid to a longer polyunsaturated one, the saturated fatty acid will generally have a higher melting point. This is because multiple double bonds significantly lower the melting point. I hope this helps!

I was unsure about Linolenic vs Capric Acid. When comparing carbons and double bonds for melting point, is there a best practice for ranking in instances where the unsaturated fatty acid has significantly more carbons than the saturated fatty acid? ex: 18:3 vs 10:0 or what if it were 18:2 vs 10:0

Does the hydrogen need to be attach to carbon to make it organic, or it will be organic even if the hydrogen is not attached to carbon atoms?
