Problem 11a
Textbook Question
In Exercises 9-12, write the system of linear equations represented by the augmented matrix. Use x, y, and z, or, if necessary, w, x, y, and z, for the variables. ![Augmented matrix for exercise 11 in college algebra, chapter on systems of equations.](https://lightcat-files.s3.amazonaws.com/problem_images/d7dc141b9eee1be8-1678239977063.jpg)

Identify the augmented matrix and note that it represents a system of linear equations.
The first row of the matrix corresponds to the equation: 1w + 1x + 4y + 1z = 3.
The second row of the matrix corresponds to the equation: -1w + 1x - 1y + 0z = 7.
The third row of the matrix corresponds to the equation: 2w + 0x + 0y + 5z = 11.
The fourth row of the matrix corresponds to the equation: 0w + 0x + 12y + 4z = 5.
