Hello. Everyone in this video. We're going to be looking at this practice problem where we want to find the probability of getting a number less than one when a die is rolled. So in order to get started with this problem let's think about a die and the possible outcomes when we roll a die. So a die has six sides. Each side Equates to the numbers one through 6. So we could either get one 2, 3, 4, 5 or six as possible outcomes. So the question is asking the probability of getting a number less than one. So we want the number To be less than one. And if we look at the possible outcomes of a die, the numbers one through six you can see that there's no scenario where the dye will give us the number less than one. So because the number of favorable outcomes is zero, the probability of this working out is actually also zero. Because if we do the number of favorable outcomes divided by the number of total outcomes. So the number of total outcomes is the amount possible. And From the amounts that we rolled out you can see that there's six total outcomes but if we have zero divided by six we still get zero.
